Celestron Nextstar 130 SLT?

I have the above mentioned telescope. For some reason when I try to unfold the tripod, the telescope begins to fall down and fail to support itself. The center support brace that holds the three legs of the tripod seems fine but this just happened out of the blue and I don't know what this is the cause of. Any ideas?
