I think your friend should confront her and tell her off about what she said. Though if she is rude enough to do it multiple times, she probably is a jerk. It's always possible she didn't know what she was saying and didn't really mean it, but I think if she was being an *** after he helped her out, she's not that nice. Never hurts to try to clear the air though.
