What's wrong with Gerber gentle flow bottles?

Im looking for bottles for our baby boy expected in February. With my first daughter, i used Playtex VentAire bottles and loved them, but I hate the colors they come in now. The pastels aren't for me. Anyway, I saw the gerber gentle flow, but Im wondering if something is wrong with them because I can't find any information on them. My sister got them brand new really cheap and it makes me wonder are they good or bad bottles..or was there a recall and the seller got them on sale? A lot of the reviews are either extremely good or extremely bad (leakage)...help, (or any good bottle recommendations)
