Sick of being single???

I am shy, and am very hesitant about initiating conversation with women. I am on Yahoo personals, but must not be "hot" enough to get any dates on there. I know I'm below average on the attractive scale. What do I do? I'm really sick of being single!! What do women want? btw I'm 31
